​Edible Blessings Catering was built from a deep belief that food should do more than satisfy hunger. It should create connection, reflect care, and leave people feeling nourished in every sense of the word.

What I offer is not simply catering. It is a culinary experience rooted in soul, elevated by professionalism, and delivered with excellence.

 

A Culinary Experience Rooted in Purpose

My understanding of food began long before Edible Blessings became a business. It was shaped by the women who came before me and the values they carried into the kitchen.

​

​My grandmother, Ola Mae Anthony, taught me how to cook for large groups while serving people generously in West Oakland. My aunt, Jackie Mae Patrick, showed me the art of seasoning with confidence and instinct. My mother, Latina Simpkins, introduced me to the catering business as a teenager and gave me an early view of what it means to serve through food.

Their influence lives in every dish I prepare and in every experience I create.​

I am fueled by emotions. My children say it best, “mom creates meals when she’s happy, sad, carrying the weight of the world, uncertain OR can fulfill a need in others”. I am known to create an Edible Experience to nourish the soul. The ability to do this is my ministry, from my soul to yours.

With more than 25 years of experience in large-scale event planning, logistics, and operations, I bring a level of structure, coordination, and foresight that sets this company apart. I understand what it takes to execute with excellence, manage moving parts, and create experiences that feel seamless from beginning to end.
